The global coronavirus is raging. As a country with a large population, China has been doing an excellent job in controlling the COVID-19. In general, Sumitomo injection molding machines are combined with injection molds made with CNC machining and other technical processes by Mastars to produce in dust-free workshops.

With fully automatic manipulators, each set of mould can produce 32 virus tubes every 18 seconds, with a daily production capacity of more than 150,000 virus tubes, which greatly supports the front line of fighting against the epidemic. With its advanced mold design, production technology and high-quality products, Mastars, in conjunction with Daan Gene, is making unremitting efforts to fight the epidemic.

Nucleic acid testing can detect virus infection in advance, cut off the source of infection in time, and greatly reduce the probability of infection. It can be said that in the battle against COVID-19, nucleic acid testing has played an important role. At present, there are more than 12,000 medical and health institutions that can provide nucleic acid testing services for COVID-19 in China, with a total testing capacity of 42 million tests per day. Mastars is also gearing up to help customers mass-produce virus tubes.

Nucleic acid testing

Also known as PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test technology. The method is to first reverse transcribe a segment of the RNA fragment of the new virus into double-stranded DNA, and then amplify it by DNA polymerase, and continuously amplify the viral gene fragment until the fluorescent probe can capture it. When the amplified virus concentration reaches a critical value, a fluorescent signal is generated, indicating the presence of the new virus in the sample. At this stage, nucleic acid testing is still the most recognized "gold standard" for testing COVID-19.

Mastars:
We employ proven prototype technologies(CNC machining, Vacuum casting, 3D printing etc.), to take new concept or design and bring it to life, develop and evaluate new products quickly, economically and with less risk. With lesson learn from prototyping, we provide considered and proactive tooling design/build and mass production processing, from injection molding, die casting, CNC machining to final assembly as full one-stop solution.
